More About this Item

The Easy-Load pump head combines an over-center cam with automatic tubing retention in a rugged, chemical-resistant housing. This design allows fast, easy tubing changes without removing the pump head from the drive. Built-in tubing guide ensures correct positioning of tubing to maximize performance and pump tubing life. Spring-loaded tubing retainers ensure tubing is secured automatically to promote long tubing life and optimize performance of each tubing size.
Select from polysulfone (PSF) housing with CRS or SS rotor, or polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) housing with SS rotor. PSF is economical, while PPS offers enhanced chemical resistance. SS rotors feature PTFE-sealed bearings for long life and reduced maintenance; CRS rotors have Buna N shielded bearings.
Dual-channel hardware allows two pump heads to operate on a single drive—order hardware set 77601-96 separately.

With single or multiple channels, tubing can be changed in each channel without removing the EASY-LOAD pump heads from your drive.

Comments about Masterflex<reg> I/P<reg> Easy-Load<reg> pump head, PSF housing/SS rotor.:

i could just spend hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours watching that little silver thing spin around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and... where was i? oh yeah, i wish it came in more colors. seriously, what do you expect me to say about a peristaltic pump head? it showed up when it was supposed to and it worked when i hooked it up. if it didn't you would have heard from me way before this.

  • Q:

What is the maximum viscosity fluid this pump can handle?
Asked on 7/30/2015 by Brad from Mobile, AL

    1 answer

    • STAFF EXPERT

      A:

This is a pump head only, and not a pump. This pump head accepts tubing sizes I/P 26, I/P 73, I/P 82. The size I/O 82 tubing can handle approximately 4000 cp, but the flow rate would only be about 75 mL/min. As the viscosity increases, the maximum flow rate significantly decreases.

  • Q:

Is this pump head compatible with C-Flex 3/8" and 1/2" ID tubing?

    Thank you very much,

    Jason
Asked on 4/6/2015 by Jason from United States

    1 answer

    • STAFF EXPERT

      A:

The MasterFlex pump heads require the use of the MasterFlex specific tubing, such as the I/P 26, I/P 73, and I/P 82 tubing sizes. These tubings are manufactured to extremely tight tolerances on the wall thickness such that the distance between the rotor and the occlusion bed are an exact match to the compressed size of the tubing. Using a standard-sized tubing can lead to premature rotor, motor, and tubing wear; as well as poor performance.

  • Q:

can this pump use 1/16" I/D tubing?
    Asked on 5/14/2013 by TMT

    1 answer

    • STAFF EXPERT

      A:

This pump head is for the Masterflex I/P system, and the smallest size tubing that can be used in it is the I/P 26 tubing, which has an ID of approximately 1/4". If you need to use 1/16" ID tubing then you need to look at the Masterflex L/S systems. The L/S 14 tubing size has an ID of 1/16".
